The Riverchase Galleria

Now considered the retail grande dame of Hoover, The Riverchase Galleria still holds all the attractions of fashion, fun and entertainment that have made it a shopping destination for the past 20 years.

A shoppers' Mecca of over 200 stores, The Galleria has five anchor stores - Macy's, J.C. Penney, Sears, Von Maur (opening Fall 2013) and Belk - a myriad of specialty shops and some of the best eateries around. The Galleria is among the largest enclosed retail centers in the United States and is noted for its soaring Grande Atrium, its nine-story skylight, a charming 18th-century carousel.

Flanking the mall are the luxurious Hyatt Regency Birmingham - The Wynfrey Hotel and the elegant 17-story Galleria Tower office building. Together, the mall, hotel and office components support thousands of jobs, having an economic impact that reaches far beyond Hoover's borders.

Patton Creek

The completion of the flyover connecting Interstate 459 with John Hawkins Parkway a few years back provided a whole new possibility for retail development behind The Riverchase Galleria. Not long afterward, Patton Creek came along and has since become an integral part of the shopping scene in Hoover.

An open-air lifestyle center with a "Main Street" feel, Patton Creek was designed to meet the demands of today's discriminating and time-challenged shoppers. Featuring a unique combination of ultra-modern and Old World qualities, the center is home to large retail stores, charming boutiques and a variety of restaurants. Thus, Patton Creek has something for every taste and budget.

Opened in early 2004, the 80-acre development provides for over 600,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space, and features wide sidewalks and decorative architectural touches. The center's winding boulevards and wide walkways provide the perfect place for a stroll. The enhanced landscaping and storefront parking provide beauty as well as convenience.

An upscale shopping experience with something for every taste, Patton Creek is anchored by Galyan's Sporting Goods, Rave Theater, Barnes & Noble Bookseller, Circuit City, Linens 'n' Things, Cost Plus and World Market, among others. Restaurants include Firebird's, Johnny Carino's Flatrock Grill, Panera Bread, Wings and Zyng Asian Grill.

The Village at Lee Branch

Nestled at the foot of Double Oak Mountain, The Village at Lee Branch is a sprawling upscale collection of retail establishments in the North Shelby County area of Hoover. Situated on the booming Highway 280 corridor, The Village is convenient to points north and south, and with the construction of Doug Baker Blvd. between Highways 280 and 119, The Village is even more accessible than before.

The affluent look and feel, along with the upscale selection of retail stores and eateries, makes The Village particularly attractive to residents of the neighboring Greystone, Highland Lakes, Meadowbrook, Brook Highland and Eagle Point communities. Gleaming facades soar over cobbled crosswalks and the center's careful landscaping to create a comfortable, yet elegant feel as shoppers stroll from store to store.

Phase I of the 86-acre development, which opened during the summer of 2003, provides over 200,000 square feet of retail space. Phase II was opened in July 2004, adding over 300,000 square feet of space. The development also provides for office and residential components.
