Chamber Committee on which I would be most interested in serving:

Ambassadors. Work on the social and networking agendas of Chamber membership. Attend special events such as Ribbon-cuttings, Business After Hours, Coffee & Contacts, Monthly luncheon, and other events. This elite position is like a goodwill ambassador.

Chamber Golf Tournament. Serve on the committee for this annual event, usually held in August at a Hoover-area private country club. This is the chambers’ biggest fund-raiser.

Economic Development. Learn to look for ways to recruit new businesses to the Hoover Area. Success in this committee can help you stand out among all business people in Hoover.

Scholarship Committee. Work with the committee to determines winners of the Lila Parks Scholarship Program for the Chamber.

Membership Recruitment & Development. Ideal for salespeople who call on clients and prospects during the workday. Membership involvement can benefit your business and open doors for your own company.

SEC Baseball. The Chamber is involved in promoting, volunteering, and serving the community and city during this, one of the biggest sporting events in the City of Hoover. The committee determines how the Chamber is involved.

Regions Charity Classic Golf Tournament presented by Bruno’s Supermarkets. Rated as the number one Senior PGA Tour Event in the country by the Champions Tour Players themselves, this tournament moved to the beautiful new Ross Bridge Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Hoover in 2006. The Chamber, with a committee of 20-25 members, provides up to 75 volunteers as Fairway Marshals and VIP Hospitality hosts, in addition to hosting one of the Business after Hours networking events following the Pro-Am Tournament, held on Wednesday (even numbered years) or Thursday (odd numbered years) of the week of the tournament.
